Kay Dudman is an experienced, well-qualified professional in the field of higher education, accredited by the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA).
Kay has held course leadership roles in three UK universities (London Metropolitan, Middlesex and City), and been responsible for undergraduate course redesign and validation. As course leader for the three-year BSc Business Information Technology and the one-year top-up BSc Business Computing degrees at London Metropolitan University, Kay has experience in leading teams, and is responsible for the design and delivery of course content (including project management, business database applications and management support systems), both within the UK and at overseas franchises. The UK courses are currently undergoing professional accreditation by the British Computer Society; the BSc Business Information Technology achieved 100% student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2011.
Kay has over 20 years' experience in the UK higher education sector, and served for three years on the Board of Governors at London Metropolitan University; she has also worked for Unilever International Management Consultants and the UK civil service.
A published author, Kay's qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science, a first class BSc honours degree in Business Computing Systems and a certificate in veterinary anatomy and physiology.
In addition to using a Virtual Learning Environment/Learning Management System, Kay has introduced a variety of innovative techniques in learning and teaching, including the use of video snippets, blogs and computer animation, and has produced conference and journal papers in this context.
Kay was nominated for a Student Led Teaching Award in 2012.
